THOMPSON ISLAND

A very large (10'x 14’) curved door was needed for a unique round horse barn on the Hudson River's Thompson Island. The door also needed a window that would align perfectly with another window on the barn - allowing light to enter the barn regardless of whether the door was in the open or closed position.

The work was divided into frame and skins. All the curved spars were made in the shop, dry assembled with the perimeter frame and disassembled for delivery to the job site.
